Chairman of the Governance Committee
The current practice is for the Immediate Past President to be the Chairman of the Governance Committee.
Primary function is to Chair meetings of the Governance Committee, which involves the sub-committees of Safeguarding, Discipline, Competitions, and Mobbs, and is responsible to the EMRU Executive Committee.
To ensure the committee Terms of Reference and the Constituent Body Action Plan is up to date and compliant.
To ensure sub-committees represented on the Governance Committee are functional and efficient.
Make relevant recommendations to the Executive Committee.
Undertake tasks and prepare reports and papers at the request of the Executive Committee.
To ensure each meeting’s agenda includes ‘Financial Matters’.
