SAFE GUARDING AND PROTECTING YOUNG PEOPLE IN RUGBY
This is a three hour course for any member of staff or volunteer who
is working with or has responsibility for children and young people
(players under the age of 18 years) within rugby from club to
international level, eg: professional staff, all coaches &
assistant coaches, heads of mini/junior & youth sections, team
managers, referees who manage mini/junior and youth games, club welfare officers, physiotherapists, club administrators, CB volunteers with
responsibility for young people, and volunteers and staff with schools
and education.
The course is run by trained RFU welfare tutors.
By the end of the course participants will be able to:
- Identify best practice within rugby
- Identify signs and indicators of possible abuse and poor practice
- State action to take if there is a concern or disclosure
- Recognise their role in safeguarding and protecting young people within rugby
- The participants will receive the workshop resource
- Certificate of attendance
The cost of the course is £15.00 per delegate payable prior to the course
