Please note that as from next season [2012-13] the National Colts Cup and Plate Competitions will run as an U18 Competition.

More and more CBs and clubs have been moving in this direction and as a result of the RFU Age Grade Committee’s review of all age grade rugby they have concluded that there is no requirement for U19 National Competitions.

Please also not that the RFU Player Development Committee and RFU Community Game Board have both ratified this change.

This will also support the new structure for the U20 County Championship and avoid overplaying of players. The removal of nineteen year olds should also allow the younger players to get game time.
